The current invoice is an 8.5x11 sheet of paper. It would be nice if we had the ability to modify the invoice or could choose a different invoice layout that would meet individual needs.

I have tried the option to export the data to an XSL file. But from there I am not sure how to get the data from that file to layout a different invoice and then automatically print.

Suggestions for improving kiosk software

For the suggestion box I would like to add the following:

1.Customers could create their own calendar on the kiosk for our lab to print.

2.Having the customer add test to a photo would be a good add on.
For example the type of test a senior would place on a wallet.
The greeting card text has everything except the ability to angle the
text on the photo.

3. We wished the keyboard would respond
like a computer keyboard by placing the cursor over one
letter and changing that letter. Customers were frustrated
when they forgot to capitalize a letter at the beginning
and had to completely retype.

Photogize for non photo products

I want to thank you for making the Photogize system such a great product. Our whole buisness now revolves around it and for the most part our customers love it. However just as we finished building this great system for ordering photos, the market is shifting away from traditional prints and more towards customized products. Photogize kiosks and Print Wizard work well for other products like mugs and calanders except in one area. The customer can't tell what they are ordering. Is there any way to Have a jpeg pop up on roll over instead of a text box? How about a link to a web page? Even a photo we could apply to each product page to give some idea what they are ordering. There is a lot of leftover space since printwizard only runs in a small window.

SDHC Support for Kiosk

More users are now coming in with SDHC cards. This then rbings a keyboard up on the screen, and unless someone goes over to the terminal and clicks on the "OK" button the keyboard, the keyboard stays up on the screen...it does not reset itself to the main screen.

We had this come up today when a parent was using one of the terminals and their xurious kids were sitting at the terminal next to the parent. They saw the key and clicked on it and spent ten minutes trying to figure out the password. Without the screen resetting itself to the main screen after a timeout of some sort, any novice user sitting down at the terminal wouldn't know what to do.

The Lucidiom method of having a click area in the lower left hand corner that is not visible would be a simple fix to this problem.

In any event, a timeout needs to be installed on ANY screen that after "XX" minutes, the screen reverts back to the main entry screen or "home page" of the kiosk.

MSN Search--Access to Forum without Password

I did a search on "Speedi Photo" today on MSN. I usually use Google, and it takes me right to our site.

With MSN, one of the search responses it came up with was a posting that I made on this forum. I clicked on the link and it brought me into the Forum without requesting a password.

I think that (if possible) forum posting shoudl not be accessible through search engines. Even if it was password protected, the search still brings up a few lines of the posting.

Photo Tidings Greeting Card Channel Lost TEXT MESSAGE when ordering.

I have had recent customers complain and as me to redo their order at no charge because they say they added a text message while ordering photo greeting cards while online.

Pete needs to add a back up button under Step 3: Write your Message.. page.

After entering the text, selecting the font style and color, the current interface requires the customer to click the "Insert New Text" button below the choices window.

If the customer should miss that step and click the blue NEXT button on the top right side of the page, the card is ordered without the TEXT MESSAGE.

We need some kind of backup button for " ARE YOU SURE y/n on the NEW TEXT before proceeding"

FYI

PhotoKiosk--Red Eye Removal

The red eye removal function on the kiosk needs to be improved to match that of Lucidiom in effectiveness, and, more important, the effectiveness of your PhotoCentral online order editing red eye removal.

I have a red eye test picture which I use to test red eye removal, and your online red eye removal works like a charm on removing the red eye, but your kiosk red eye removal doesn't correct it. Utopia would allow us to export the point values earned each month (or any other predefined length of time) to an awards gift certificate which could be the "reason" to send out a monthly mailing that the customer wouldn't immediately throw in the trash.

Directed marketing is the only way the independent retailer is going to be able to survive. The "relationship" factor of your kiosk making them feel recognzed rather than the "we don't care how many times you have been in here, you're a nobody to us" feeling that they get from the kiosks at Costco would separate your product from the entire marketplace. The fact that you control the information flow in the kiosk and the back lab manager makes it a natural for you, unlike the Photo Finale/Lucidiom relationship.

Photogize, PhotoCentral, Photogize WorkForce Hi-Res Logos

Please post links to hi-res (not small, web-friendly) jpegs of all of your logos that we all have access to them to use in collateral materials.

This is especially important for those of us who want to publicize the Picasa connection. Other than the Photogize logo ending up at the top of the list of all of our competitors, there is really no visual tie in to the link as it relates to each dealer.

In order to try to overcome this, we plan on using the Photogize logos wherever we can. Without hi-res images to use in collateral pieces, this is impossible.

In addition, please post the actual type font you are using.
