Table of contents

Table of contents gives guest user a complete look inside your Knowledge Base. Every article that has been approved and is valid can be seen, rate or improved by suggestion. Table of contents has folder construction so that is very simple to find what we are interested in.

  • Click at folder that are you interested
  • Appears list of sub directories (not always - it depends about your information depth and article variability) and articles .
  • By clicking at one of them, you have option to completely examine the article and rate it.

Most recent articles

Most Recent Articles section is placed at bottom of your Knowledge Base Home page. It gives guest user selection of freshest articles that had been posted. By clicking at one of them, you have option to completely examine the article. At right side of selected article you have "Rate this article" box which allows you to rate this article:

To rate article:

  • Click on "Rate this article" link
  • Select rate that you find appropriate for this article. Rates are in range from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent).
  • Click on "Rate it" button submits your rate

You are also allowed to write down your own comment to this specific article. In "Suggestions" field insert your comment. Text size is unlimited. Post it by clicking on "Submit" button.
Here is also available to examine all articles that are related to one that you are reading by selecting articles from "Related articles" section.

Most viewed articles
At right side of Knowledge Base Home page you can find "Most Viewed Articles section". This option gives guest user selection of articles that had been wanted the most. By clicking at one of them, you have option to completely study the article and rate it.

Search & Top Searches
Top Searches section gives guest user selection of searches that had been wanted the most. This section can fasten your search and make business more agile.

Normal search can be performed with two ways. First way is simply to write phrase you think is appropriate to article you want. But, clicking at "Advanced search" link you have option for more deeper search.

Here you have possibility to find specific article with use of

  • all the words
  • the exact phrase
  • or without the words

Advanced Search can search in

  • Title only
  • Full text
  • Article ID

and by time of last update. From

  • past 3 days
  • past week
  • past month
  • past year
  • or anytime

You can also list from 25 to 100 results and sort them (in normal or reverse way) by title or date.

Search Tips & Tricks


Automatic "and" Queries
Knowledge base automatically adds AND word between your terms. To search the Knowledge base for: software and bug you can just type.


Note: Knowledge base supports asterisk wildcard search. Searching for "soft" or "soft*" will return also word like "software" or "soften".

" - " Searches

Sometimes you need to search for term that has more than one meaning; cookie can be meal or cookie used in internet programming.

Cookies as meal can be excluded from search by putting "-" sign inform of the word "meal".


Phrase Searches

You can search for complete phrases by enclosing them in quotation marks. Knowledge base will then search for only for the exact phrase in the quotation marks.

"OR" Searches

Knowledge base supports the logical "OR" operator. To retrieve kb articles that contain first, second or both terms type:


Tips for Advanced Search

  • Search in - select in which part of kb article will your search be updated
  • Last updated - restrict search by time limits
  • Results - how many results will be displayed per page
  • Order by - how will search results be ordered
